I've been going to the cinemas a lot lately, yesterday I and Simen saw two movies: Julie & Julia and UP in 3D.
It was great watching some movies that left you with a good feeling cause I've been seeing a lot of horror, thrillers, dramas that don't really give you that good happy feeling. But anyways, the movies where great ... well Julie & Julia was great because of the actors and UP was just ok, a little dissapointed really but that's what disney movies have been lately, dissapointing.

Later today after school I'm going to the movies again this time to see District 9, we (me and Simen) have been looking forward to watch that movie for a while now so we're finally going to see it. It's mostly because of me we haven't seen it yet cause I've just been  wanting to watch "feel good" movies lately.

But yeah I don't really have anything more I want to write about right now so ... bye

Ok! so it's been a while since I last updated this journal ... *sighs* I have a lot of catching up to do.

I've spent most of my summer with my family and friends here in Norway - the 2 weeks in China.
I also met my soulmate (yes I said soulmate) in the end of june? .... I really suck at remembering dates and stuff, puh >.< but I think it was june the 20'th (hope I'm not way off track).

Well anyways ... I also had my cousin from FL staying with me for a couple of weeks, that's always a lot of fun, wish she'd come over more often.

Uh I'm getting bored of writing already, and I was planning on writing everything "worth mentioning" in detail ... guess that's not going to happen.

So I'm just going to post some pictures:

I've been watching Bleach for some months now and I've reached episode 160.
I was really hesitant if I wanted to start watching it or not cause of the amount of episodes ( 218 and still ongoing) (O.o)
but I though what the hell "if I don't like it, I'll just don't finish it" ... I thought it was ok until around episode 50 when things started to happen in Soul Society then it got exciting, but after everyone returned home and those stupid vampire wannabes (The Bounto) came in to the picture I just lost my interest and stopped watching for a month or so, until I started watching it again, determined that I WILL finish it, and things started to get exciting again when the arrancar entered the "real world" ^_^ so now I'm really hooked and can watch 5-7 episodes a day.

I love the Espada <3 I always had a weakness for cold-hearted villians XD and their ?design? is 100% *claps hands*

Aaaah I just noticed how hungry I am XD
I need to go and make myself some food, haven't eaten in 11 hours *gasp*

I'm really lazy and tired but I really want to do something, I just don't know what I want to do :S
hate days like these when you want to get out of the house but at the same time your lazy and just want to stay home.
I've been doing nothing for the last 6 hours ... except watched some Bleach episodes ... oh and I went to the store and bought some food to put in the fridge. Now I'll go and take a shower, then maybe I'll go see a movie or something at the cinema? I just need to do something.

If you're bored too you can kill a couple of minutes and save my poor baby dragons?:

I love making videos, take clips from movies I love and put them together with awesome music <3
I've been wanting to make a nature movie for a while now, and I've finally started to rip my "Planet Earth" DVD's.
I want to put the amazing nature shots together with Imogen Heap's "Can't Take It In" from the Chronicles Of Narnia soundtrack ^_^
Yay I'm so excited :D

and just to make this post a little more interesting I'm posting one of my old videos here:

Yesterday I managed to fall down the stairs X_x
It was reeeeeaally painful then but when I woke up this morning .... Holy S***
somehow I got to work, and luckily my co-workers are all sweethearts so they helped me a lot <3 Bless their precious hearts.
After I got home I just lay down on the floor and stayed there until now, had to update my journal *silly laugh*
I wanted to take a picture to show you guys but I can't turn around or hold the camera in the right angle so here's an image of what I look like right now:

<<<- (this is not me, it's just there so that you can get an idea of what my back looks like)

only mine's from one hip to another covering half of my back and butt.

ALRIGHT ... I'm going to stop whining, hihi
but I do feel kind of sorry for myself, even though it kind of was my fault not paying attention to where I put my feet (>.<)

Ok I have a lot to write this time since it's been a while since my last update.
First of all I want to tell you how happy I am cause of the wonderful weather we've had the past week <3
I've really missed Florida lately so it really cheered me when the sun decided to show itself (^_^)

The biggest things that have happened is the debate I went to last weekend, it was about how the church treat homosexuals and bisexuals.
Me being a bisexual, it was a very important night to me.
The debate was great, even though they didn't come to an agreement ... not that I expected that they would.

Last night I went to a great concert with Bo Kaspers Orkester, they're an awesome swedish band.
I was expecting a little more rock but I guess they figured that the audience would appreciate that as much so they went a little jazzy,
I love jazz, but it didn't fit them as well.
Here's a picture, which I know really suck but I don't have a camera so this was taken with my iPhone:

and here is a link to their myspace page: http://www.myspace.com/bokaspers

I also had a wonderful day with Janine and Torunn ... about two weeks ago I think.
I haven't seen Janine in 1 1/2 years, so it was great spending some time with her again.
We went to the movies and then to  a local coffee bar named Bøker & Børst <3
Now what movie did we see? Let me think ...... *thinkning* ..... ah "Bedtime Stories"
I'm not an Adam Sandler fan, but Janine wanted to see it so I let her decide ^_^

Me and Torunn in town (Torunn to the left and me to the right):

and last I have some sad news, my grandmother died (T_T)
it was one of the most wonderful funerals I've been to and a lot of people showed up <3 thanks to all of them
she got to celebrate her 95'th birthday and lived alone and healthy with her family just down the street, she had a great life and she knew it.
I could sit here and write page after page about my grandmothers life, she was an adventurer and one of the few persons I look up to.
She's rocking out in Heaven right now, I'm sure XD cheers to you Olava, miss you always

I debattpanelet satt:

  • Leder i Norsk Luthersk Misjonssamband (NLM) Ung Norge Øystein Sunde Pedersen.

I managed to spill my tea all over my manga, anime, japanese study books, Wii, Game Cube and games (T_T)
You would not believe the large amount of tea that came out of that little cup, well the cup was quite large but still.
I haven't tried to turn the Wii back on, I'll let it stand there and dry for a couple of hours before I try to turn it on again,
but I don't really have faith that any Wii could survive such a massive amount of hot tea ... and I've almost never used it *cries*
but that's what I get for being so clumsy I guess.

But to cheer myself up I'll just post a cute video:

Maaaaa, Dr. Pepper always remind me of Florida <3
I really miss my cousin and american friends now *sighs* that feeling always come at this time of year
when I'm starting to look forward to the summer.
Anyways here's some info about Dr. Pepper:

The exact date of Dr Pepper's conception is unknown, but the U.S. Patent Office recognizes December 1, 1885 as the first time Dr Pepper was served. It was introduced nationally in the United States at the 1904 Louisiana Purchase Exposition as a new kind of cola, made with 23 flavors. Dr Pepper was far from being the first carbonated soft drink, or even the first soft drink in the United States for that matter. Vernors Ginger Ale and Hires Root Beer share the title for first American-born soft drink, both debuting in 1866. However, through various mergers all three brands are now owned by Dr Pepper Snapple Group. Still, Dr Pepper's introduction in 1885 did precede the introduction of Coca-Cola by one year.

It was formulated by German pharmacist Charles Alderton in Morrison's Old Corner Drug Store in Waco, Texas. To test his new drink, he first offered it to store owner Wade Morrison, who also found it to his liking. After repeated sample testing by the two, Alderton was ready to offer his new drink to some of the fountain customers. Other patrons at Morrison's soda fountain soon learned of Alderton's new drink and began ordering a "Waco". Alderton gave the formula to Morrison. A popular belief is that the drink was named after Morrison's former employer in Texas, but this has been disputed by the Dr Pepper company itself.

Dr Pepper almost became a Coca-Cola brand in the mid-to-late 1980s. Dr Pepper became insolvent in the early 1980s, prompting an investment group to take the company private. Several years later, Coca-Cola attempted to acquire Dr Pepper, but was blocked from doing so by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC). Around the same time, Seven Up was acquired from Phillip Morris by the same investment company that bailed out Dr Pepper. Upon the failure of the Coca-Cola merger, Dr Pepper and Seven Up merged (creating Dr Pepper/Seven Up, Inc., or DPSU), giving up international branding rights in the process. After the DPSU merger, Coca-Cola obtained most non-U.S. rights to the Dr Pepper name (with PepsiCo taking the Seven Up rights).

And then over to the Pullips again XD
I need to get at least Grell, and then Sebastian and Ciel later ... but then there's the money problem
Why is it that all pullip collectors are broke all the time? XD Probably cause it's such an expensive hobby.
Well anyways, I really really want Grell so I'm going to try and save up some money to buy him/her when she's released now in march.
Bah, I've been so lazy on taking pictures of my pullips lately, but I'll get better ... I hope >_<

Oh well, it's just for another 6 months and then I'll be able to relax a bit ... or maybe not cause then I'll be studying biology
but at least I'm doing something now! cause I've been pretty useless lately.

Other than working I've been studying french and japanese, and I've been spending a lot of time at the cinema as well XD
Slumdog Millionaire was aawesome, and then there's a new Norwegian movie based on Jostein Gaarders "Appelsinpiken" with the same title as the book which I loved (not nearly as good as the book though).

........

Waaaaa I'm so exited about going to China this summer :D
Just hope I'll save up the money I need in time, I'm still 5000kr short and I need to pay the full amount (30 000kr) by the end of next month (>_<)
But I think I'll be able to make it ... I hope *nervous look*
Anyways, I'm going to go on this expedition to experience a total solar eclipse *jumps up and down in excitement*
A total solar eclipse is when the moon passes in front of the sun and blocks it completely which is an amazing sight. To see a total solar eclipse, you have to be in just the right spot on the earth (which in this case would be China). When you look up in the sky at the sun and the moon, you notice a strange coincidence, both look the same size in the sky. Both the sun and the moon look about one-half degree in diameter. Now, they're not really the same size. The sun's diameter is actually 400 times the moon's diameter. But, you must also take into account that the sun is also 400 times farther away from the earth, reducing its apparent size to the same as the moon's. Because of this relationship, when you are standing on the earth, looking up at the two, you must be in a very limited zone to see the moon cover the entire face of the sun. If you were to move a little north, the sun would peek out over the top of the moon; a little south, and the sun shines past the southern limb of the moon. The match is so good that the "path of totality" is never more than 167 miles in diameter, and is usually less. This means that very few people have seen a total eclipse because the shadow only covers a very small area on the earth, and that's why I'm going to China cause then I'll be able to see a total solar eclipse, yay.
God, I'm such a geek right now, haha XD but they say it's a pretty amazing sight, birds stop singing and it feels like time just stands still.
But the reason I'm really going is because I've wanted to travel to China since kindergarden, and when I went to this astro-show they said they were going to organize a trip to China in 2009 to see the solar eclipse, so I signed up (^_^)
Now I just need to buy a camera, cause I want to bring back some pictures from this trip.

Edit - Here's the travel plan:

Total Solar Eclipse 2009

Beijing, Xian, Guilin, Hangzhou og Shanghai

Lørdag 11. juli
Departure Stavanger ??pm with Lufthansa.
Baha this is all I'll translate for now, knowing that probably no one but I will read this XD
but if there by any chance is someone who wants me to translate this, please let me know (^_^)

Her arrangeres parader med opptil 500 000 deltagere.

Mandag 13. juli

 Ooooooki, journal update!
I've been thinking a lot lately .... about me being just sooo un-useful lately.
After I quit my job I've just been hanging around the house and doing absolutely NOTHING!!
I just feel that I've been wasting so much time deciding what to do with my life, already spent 1 1/2 year and now it looks like it will take me another 1 1/2 year before I'll be able to get into college >.< that's three fucking years!
Uh, I'm kind of angry with myself for being so indecisive (X_O)
All my friends have gone off to different colleges so I feel pretty alone, it's just me and Elisabeth left here in Stavanger now ...
and she's off to Trondheim this fall *cry* then I'll be completely alone.
I really need to get away, thinking about moving in with my best friend in Moldø <3 but that will have to be after I get back from China this summer and I'll have to work and save up some money, but that idea gets me kind of hyped, cause it's completely doable and the rent on her apartment is pretty low so it wont cost me too much of my savings ^-^

and just as a little side note - I saw this awesome movie today, "Funny Games" a must see!

Uh, it's been a while since I've posted anything in this journal ...
I just moved to another town in Norway, so this is my first week here ^_^
I'm quite happy with the appartement, a little short on space but it's very cosy.
The only thing that sucks though is that my connection to the internet fails me from time to time, so I'll need to fix that somehow.
It's only a 15 minute walk to town so I don't have to take the buss as much any longer, pretty happy about that.

This weekend was the end of Stavanger as the Cultural City of Europe so there was a celebration in town,
it was pretty awesome ... I'm happy I went to see it cause I wasen't really sure if I wanted to go.

So that's all I'm going to write for now ... it's just so boring to sit and write about yourself, maybe I'll start writing fanfictions instead :D

Ay vey it's been poring cats and dogs today.
Yesterday I said I would take some pullip pictures so I did, not very good though cause the lighting really sucks XP
Oh well ...

So they called me from work again and asked me to come over, and I was actually pretty happy about it cause it's been a while since I've seen the kids and I kind of miss them ... not to mention it means I get some money in the bank which is greatly appreciated ^_^

Now i really can't wait till I my newest family members will arrive ... they should arrive either tomorrow or on friday but you never really know.
I've been thinking that I need to take pictures of my pullips soon, so tomorrow I'll borrow my sisters camera and take some autumn pictures.
It's so beautiful when all the leafs turn golden, one of my favorite seasons next to winter.

Here is a great japanese poem dated all the way back to the year 759, the author is unknown.

romanji transcription:

akiyama no
momiji wo shigemi
madoinuru
imo wo motomemu
yamamichi shirazu mo

Not one of the best poems I've heard but it's about autumn (^_^)
